The global scientific affairs team at a top 5 global pharma company wanted to extend the reach of their licensed and pipeline scientific symposiums held at ESMO 2016 Copenhagen, globally to a wider audience of healthcare professionals. The live presentations illustrated the present and potential future uses of immunotherapy in certain types of cancer. The client was looking for solutions that could also provide measurable data on perception or behaviour change of the HCP audience towards value of immunotherapy in oncology.
Plan of Action
Streaming Well was able to provide two engaging interactive online symposia with synchronized slides. The two hours of filmed presentations were edited into a fast-moving highlights format and presented in chapters. The symposia were filmed by the congress organizers and provided to Streaming Well who conducted additional individual HCP interviews of medical case studies. With a deep understanding and ability to adhere to local regulations, the interactive educational package is geo-restricted and portable to multiple digital channels while retaining its approval and compliance with local regulation.
Other channels the item could be used on include conference stands, details via iPad or portable devices by field sales, e-details, third party HCP websites, hospital education sessions and internal training.
During the live symposia, the client used keypads to test knowledge and perception of the HCPs in attendance, which has been mirrored on the interactive version. Through this, the user can observe the audience’s reactions to every question. The information is anonymized and is sent to the Roche so they can gauge the effectiveness of the activity.
This innovative, interactive programme will be launched globally and is currently available in Asia, South America and the Middle East.
